Overview
Uluwatu temple stands on a high cliff at the south-western tip of Bali, with wide views over the Indian Ocean. It is one of the island’s important sea temples and a classic place to watch the sunset. Near the temple, the Kecak fire dance is performed in an open-air amphitheatre: a large circle of men chant “cak” as dancers tell a story from the Ramayana, ending with fire as the sky turns orange.
After the show, your driver takes you to Jimbaran beach for a seafood dinner at a table on the sand. Dinner is not included, so you choose the restaurant and what you eat. The car is only for your group and the timing is relaxed, which makes this an easy afternoon for couples, families and first-time visitors. Plan to arrive early for good seats at the Kecak, and keep a close eye on your belongings because the temple monkeys are known for taking glasses and phones.

Good to know
- Monkeys at Uluwatu often grab glasses, sunglasses, phones and hats. Put loose items in a closed bag and hold your phone firmly.
- Covered shoulders and knees are needed at the temple. A sarong and sash are required; bring your own or use one at the entrance.
- The Kecak gets busy. Arrive early for a good seat, and bring water and a hat because the seats face the sun.
- The clifftop paths have steps and no railing in some places. Keep children close.
- Bring a light layer for dinner on the beach, as it can be windy in the evening.

No. The price covers the private car, driver, fuel and parking. You pay the restaurant directly and choose what you want to eat.
Can we skip dinner or go somewhere else?
Yes. You can skip Jimbaran, choose another restaurant or go straight back to your hotel after the Kecak.

Yes, many families enjoy the Kecak. Keep children close on the clifftop paths and away from the monkeys.
What if it rains?
The Kecak is an open-air show and may stop in heavy rain. Your driver can adjust the plan or suggest another evening if needed.
