Nusa Penida East Day Tour
A full-day private trip from Bali to the quieter east coast of Nusa Penida, visiting Diamond Beach, Atuh Beach and the tree house viewpoint (Rumah Pohon).
- Duration Full day about 11–12 hours door to door
- Pick-up Hotel pick-up in South Bali & Ubud about 06:00–06:30
- Group Private tour Only your group, your own car
Overview
The east side of Nusa Penida is less busy than the west and has some of the island’s most beautiful coastline. Diamond Beach is a white-sand cove under tall cliffs, reached by stairs cut into the rock. Next to it, Atuh Beach sits in a sheltered bay with a rock arch offshore. The tree house viewpoint (Rumah Pohon) stands on a cliff top above small rocky islands and is a favourite photo spot.
You cross from Sanur by fast boat and then travel with a private car and driver who is only for your group. The drive from the harbour to the east coast is long, around 1.5–2 hours each way on narrow, bumpy roads, so this tour suits travellers who are happy to spend time in the car for fewer, quieter stops. The stairs at Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach are steep. Lunch at a local restaurant and the entrance fees are included. The sea decides the boat schedule; if a crossing is cancelled because of the sea, you choose a free new date or a full refund.

Frequently asked questions
East or west Nusa Penida: which should I choose?
The west has the famous Kelingking view and shorter drives. The east is quieter, with Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach, but needs more time in the car.
Is this tour suitable for kids?
Children of any age can join, and infants travel on a parent's lap on the boat. Older children who are fine with long drives and stairs usually enjoy it most. Pregnant guests and people with back problems should avoid the fast boat.
What happens if the sea is rough?
Safety comes first. If the boat or the trip is cancelled because of weather or sea conditions, you choose a free new date or a full refund.
Can we change the stops?
Yes, you can skip a stop or stay longer at another one. Your time on the island depends on the return boat, so your driver will tell you what fits.
